Janice is survived by her husband of 58 years Wilbur Treichler, her children Mark (Kimberly) Treichler and Amy (Nathaniel) Lew, a sister Gail (Denis) Timko, also many nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed shopping, reading and traveling. She was a member of Hope United Methodist Church, LaSalle Literary Club and Sanborn Area Historical Society. She later was employed with the K-Mart Pharmacy in Lockport for over 10 years, before retiring in 2003. Janice grew up working and then became a pharmacist with her family business Imson Pharmacy in LaSalle. She graduated from LaSalle High School and from the Albany College of Pharmacy. Treichler, an affiliate with Mobil Oil Company (later ExxonMobil), claimed that people generally remember: 10 of what they read 20 of what they hear. Janice was born in Niagara Falls, NY on December 24, 1935, a daughter of the late Donald and Marjorie Imson. Treichler published a version of the Learning Pyramid models in the magazine Film and audio-visual communication that went on to become an oft-cited source.
